I wish you wouldn\u2019t look so miserable,\u201d she told him, not daring to look toward him, \u201cThink of it as a new&nbsp;<strong>beginning<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI need a break,\u201d he said, throwing his box onto the sofa, it bounced and settled on its side, the contents falling out, settling between the cushions. He threw himself onto the upholstered side chair positioned in front of the picture window that looked out toward the street. \u201cI&nbsp;<strong>hope<\/strong>&nbsp;this is only temporary,\u201d he said under his breath. The longing to run away surged through his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat was that?\u201d She said, holding towels in her hands, \u201cdid you need a&nbsp;<strong>break<\/strong>?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He grumbled curse words, his back turned to her so she didn\u2019t hear him. She looked down at the towels and turned on her heel, heading down the hall toward their new bathroom. He didn\u2019t see the glistening eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd I was so longing to travel more,\u201d he said to himself, shaking his head in disbelief, \u201cwhat have I done?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI just love our new bathroom,\u201d she said when she returned, \u201cit is so much bigger than at the apartment,\u201d her voice high pitched, excitement filled the air around her. It didn\u2019t penetrate his dark cloud over him. He sat pushed out at the edge of the cushion, only his dark haired head was visible. \u201cDid you want to go out for dinner or BBQ again. We have a lovely yard now. It was delicious yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat I want to do is\u00a0<strong>escape<\/strong>\u00a0the domestic nightmare,\u201d his voice gruff and cracking in anger, \u201cI don\u2019t want to BBQ, I don\u2019t want to be here.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou just have the wrong&nbsp;<strong>perspective<\/strong>,\u201d she insisted, the angry words flowed off her. \u201cThis is an&nbsp;<strong>opportunity<\/strong>, we can&nbsp;<strong>thrive<\/strong>&nbsp;here, wait and see.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI know it is going to be hard to settle into this new life but we had little choice. Don\u2019t forget it wasn\u2019t my fault the trouble you got into,\u201d she said, removing a vase wrapped in bubble wrap, setting it on the side table. He looked at her, shook his head, his long curly hair bobbed up and down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI remember,\u201d he said, he went toward the far wall and leaned against it, his hands buried in his pockets. \u201cI am sorry for that, you are dealing with this better than me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She stopped her unpacking and went toward him, leaned her weight into his body and laid her head on his shoulder, \u201cWe will be okay. We need to&nbsp;<strong>relearn<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>renew<\/strong>&nbsp;our lives now.
